Schmidt North America is broadening its base in the North American market

Schmidt North America (SNA) is broadening its base in the North American market and will now also provide sales and service support from Concord (NH) for the Aebi dealers and customers in US and Canada.

Over many years Schmidt North America and Aebi Switzerland have supplied a considerable number of spreaders, plows, snow blowers and all terrain mowers to a variety of users all over US and Canada. As a result of the recent merger of the Schmidt and Aebi companies into the bigger and stronger Aebi Schmidt Group more extensive sales and service support measures are now being put into place. From our base in Concord (New Hampshire), as well as continuing to support the Schmidt branded products, we will now also support the Aebi range.

By laying down and/or replenishing our strategic stock of spare parts for both brands in Concord (NH), we will be able to improve our level of support for our dealers and customers. From the Concord base we will also (continue to) provide a technical “hotline” including out of hours operations. These measures will enable us to build on our recent successes in US and Canada and provide a base to further penetrate the market with both Schmidt and Aebi products

In April 2007 the shareholders of the Aebi Group (Burgdorf, CH) and the Schmidt Group (St. Blasien, D) approved a merger of their companies. The majority shareholder of the new Group is Peter Spuhler.

Schmidt, with production locations in Germany, Holland and Poland, is leader in winter services engineering (snow clearing machines, snowploughs and spreaders), in environmental engineering (road sweepers, public works machines and road repair vehicles), in airport engineering (snow clearance, combating ice and sweeping technology), in railway engineering (snow clearing) and in vehicle engineering (electronics and software, equipment and hydraulics and vehicle conversions).

Aebi (Burgdorf) is the leading manufacturer of specialist vehicles for the mechanised cultivation and maintenance of extremely steep slopes and particularly demanding terrain, as well as for the cleaning/clearing of the traffic infrastructure during all seasons of the year.
